I wish there was more explanation of where the strange stuff or magic is fromLike its from the moons but theres nothing about a culture, a god, or some entity or anything that their powers come from But overall good podcastReally like the voice actors

Mystery with supernatural/horror elements told through dialogue and first-person narration. A PI from the city goes to a small town/tourist trap to investigate loose ends in the case of a recently-arrested cult leader, discovering weird aspects to the town. Developing romance between two people who get off on the wrong foot and learn to trust each other. The imagery and description in the narration is vivid and evocative. Some tense and unsettling scenes in which the sound design adds to the atmosphere. Also, dinosaur bones.

If you've ever thought "there should be more fiction about the inherent horror of geologic timescales", this is the audio drama for you. Seriously though. WOW. This show has it all -- noir narration from our PI main character (played by Liz Morey!), a very strong sense of place (the Canadian Badlands), a cult, a mystery, enemies-to-lovers, and realistic dialogue and sound design to boot. Try Badlands Cola today!

Only three episodes in so far, but so far, the voice acting and sound design are top-notch! The mystery and premise have me hooked. Excited to see where it goes!

Easily one of the best audio dramas out there. No-one is doing it like Badlands Cola! Everything from the writing to the acting to the sound design and music is perfectly crafted and immaculately executed. I find myself alternating between holding my breath and shouting at my phone when I listen! I am such a sucker for an enemies to lovers situation and this show d e l i v e r s. The actors are incredible and bring such a breathtaking intensity to their performances. The music and sound design are spectacular and so cohesive that I feel like I could hear some of it isolated and out of context and immediately know it was from Badlands. However, these things are just the icing on the cake of a captivating (and spooky) storyline that is fantastic in its own right! I’m so excited for the season finale!

Badlands Cola has a really defined aura, unlike any I've experienced in audio drama. There is a Fallout, post-apocalyptic, every man for himself wasteland vibe about the world and the characters who inhabit it. The writing is sharp and the cast portray their characters with authenticity.

Badlands Cola is a gripping story beautifully presented with haunting desert vibes. Never has a podcast filled me with so much hype and then absolutely delivered on every bit of it. Badlands Cola is the kind of Fiction Podcast that raises the bar for other fiction podcasts. Cool AF artwork, an interesting plot, setting and complex compelling characters with capital C-Chemistry. I'm looking forward to listening to more of this creator’s work. My pick for best fiction podcast of 2022.

An acid jazz daydream: among the many things I loved about this show was the hyper-saturated, sunbaked surrealism of it's languid, eerie storytelling. I came for the high weird, but I stayed for the really moving, messy, awkward, compelling romance between Strathcona and Sunny. I really enjoyed this first season, and let's just say the voice of the credits in the final episode left me suitably unsettled...

Didn't exactly know what to expect when I started this and wow what a journey! The acting is incredible, the story keeps you guessing and I desperately need more!!
