San Francisco officials say the city is making real progress in reducing the number of homeless encampments. As KCBS Radio's Matt Bigler reports, the homeless tent count is the lowest it's been since the pandemic.

Antisemitism is on the rise in Berkeley public schools, according to a complaint from two Jewish groups. KCBS Radio's Raquel Maria Dillon reports this isn't the first time these Jewish groups have complained about Berkeley schools.

When it comes to shoplifting, self-checkout machines cause 16 times more theft than traditionally staffed checkouts. That’s according to a Los Angeles senator who has introduced a plan she says could stop that trend. KCBS Radio's Megan Goldsby reports.
