Hello and welcome to the Blue Collar Audiophiles podcast. My name is Casey Sullivan. I am a small business owner and music producer currently residing in Los Angeles California. Throughout the show we will be getting in depth with guests who work in all different aspects and levels of the music industry. I want to take you with me on my journey through stories and experiences as a working class music producer who is seeking answers for myself, new musicians and business people.. all while exposing old myths and fables that keep new learners from seeking real answers. For the past year I’ve felt like I’m living in a part of my story that i would leave out. Truth is that there is value in this and we all can learn a lot from milestones, accomplishments and shortcomings of the Blue collar musicians. Working class producers, artists, engineers, dancers, stage technicians, agents, writers and managers have a story worth listening to and a journey worth learning from. For those of you already wondering what gear we are using, the opening and closing notes are reaching you from a Neumann TLM 107 Condenser microphone running into a universal audio twin Finity 710 preamp before it hits my favorite workspace, Cubase Pro. My live podcast microphone is a Shure SM 7B my co-host and female perspective on the show Moscow is speaking into a Sennheiser 609E and our guest is speaking into a Cobalt C09. All of the audio recorded is running through waves plug-ins which include the Q4 mono EQ and one of my favorites the RVox mono. The master bus is loaded with an L2 ultra maximizer stereo for a little boost on the way out.
