Angela has this belief we are all valuable no matter our capacity. She genuinely loves the world and wants to make it possible for everyone to get to have the full human experience, whatever that looks like for them. She is the mother of two and at the age of 35 was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) which robbed her of the use of her hands and limit her ability to walk. At the beginning of 2021 she realized she could use her ability to listen and have meaningful conversations to show the world how uniquely beautiful every human is. She is currently using the podcast platform for her podcast called Relatively Damaged to help show through conversations that we all have some damage or some challenge and yet we are perfect in those challenges.

What was your biggest obstacle you challenged/managed to overcome?
I think this question is interesting because as I ponder on it I wonder if I have overcome or if I have learned how to learn to embrace my challenges as part of who I am. When I think of overcoming, I think of fixing and getting better. There are things about my disabilities which may or may not ever change. Perhaps if I say overcome, it may be my ability to see the world in all it's complexity instead of black/white, good/bad, disabled/healed, etc.
What are your 3 biggest learnings you love to share with the audience?
1. own your damage
2. remember to breathe
3. be curious about yourself and others - prepare to be surprised
Your no.1 quote of you reg. "be simply me"? Be unapologetically all of who you are, not just what you think is good.
