Last week on episode 198 Jill briefly touched on how we can change the story around obstacles when they show up. Instead of thinking, "This must be a sign", thinking "This is testing my commitment to what I say I want."

This week she digs underneath those obstacles. She talks upper limiting, self sabotage, why everything seems to go wrong right before we take a chance or start something new and she explains how to understand why this happens. In the end she gives you an unexpected exercise to meet it all with love which she says is the secret sauce to growth despite obstacles.

Show Notes:

[2:53] - You know when you start something, there seem to be a lot of obstacles? Is it a sign you shouldn’t do it or a test to see how much you want it?

[5:10] - What is safe is what is known. What is safe is what’s familiar. It doesn’t mean it’s good for us.

[6:17] - A lot of times these things seem like huge coincidences.

[7:59] - Whatever the reason, what might be happening is that your nervous system is trying to protect you from something unfamiliar.

[9:36] - Everything you used to know as true, which is what you consider safe, trying something new doesn’t “match.”

[11:26] - Think about something that you’ve done and think about the obstacles that occurred.

[13:30] - Jill recommends the book The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks.

[14:59] - If you’re willing to, you’re going to see your patterns and all the things that need to die for you to move forward.

[16:01] - If you’re willing to meet yourself with grace and love and without judgment, you’re going to see your inner child and what they’re afraid of.

[17:59] - Meeting your emotions with love is going to get you farther.

[20:40] - Jill shares some of the obstacles she is facing.

[23:15] - Jill realized that she subconsciously self-sabotaged her day so she could cancel the thing she was avoiding.

[29:01] - There is going to be contraction before expansion.

I know there was something in this episode that you were meant to hear. Let me know what that is. Thank you for being here today with me on our healing journeys.
