The next time you buy skincare take the time to read the labels. Labelling is not consistent globally. You will see information pertaining to manufacturing dates, expiry dates etc that will vary depending on where you buy your products.

Bindu & Kavita also talk about some ways to extend the shelf life of your favourite products such as:

- Store your skincare in a drawer or cabinet so that it is protected from direct heat and humidity

- Do not leave jars or bottles open longer than you need to. Close them immediately once you have taken out the product you need

- Always tighten lids while closing the jar or bottle

- If the product has thickened or changed consistency do not add water to thin it out
