The Bechdel Cast is a podcast hosted by Jamie Loftus and Caitlin Durante about the portrayal of women in film. It's inspired by the Bechdel Test created by cartoonist Alison Bechdel, which requires that a movie has two female characters (with names) who speak to each other about something other than a man. Very few films pass the test, and when they do, it's often by the skin of their teeth. The Bechdel Cast is putting a spotlight on one of Hollywood's biggest problems, the under- and misrepresentation of women in cinema!
