Training teaches your dog manners, and the discipline has a calming effect on the canine because it removes any guesswork for the animal.  Obedience training becomes the link to communication between you and your dog as humans don't speak dog and dogs don't speak English. Teaching a dog basic skills creates an environment of safety for both handler and canine and it sustains the unbreakable bond between you and your animal.
