Renaissance: a film by Beyoncé achieved the best opening December weekend domestic box office since 2003’s The Last Samurai. Box Office Overview:
- Renaissance: a film by Beyoncé topped the box office in its debut with $21M from 2,539 screens.
- The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes dropped to second position at the domestic box office with $14.5M added domestically, bringing its worldwide total to $243.9M.
- Godzilla Minus One opened to $11M domestically and a further $23M internationally for a worldwide total of $34M.
- Trolls Band Together grossed a further $7.6M domestically and sits at a $160.6M worldwide total.
- Wish saw an addition of $7.4M domestically in its second week, down 62% from its first week. Its worldwide total now sits at $81.6M.
