Our Resilient Puerto Rico series has explored topics like energy justice, solar energy accessibility, and community resilience, all within the context of Puerto Rico. In this episode, we are joined again by Captain Richard Birt, a veteran of the Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Department. In the name of community resilience and safety, he has taken the initiative to develop microgrids for emergency response centers in municipalities of Puerto Rico including San Juan, San Sebastián, and Humacao.
