Finally, 2020 is coming to an end. This year has brought a lot of bad things and one of the most painful has been the impact on the movie industry. December is usually reserved for Through the Cracks, that is movies that Jonathan (@berkreviews) and Corey (@coreyrstarr) missed seeing during the year. Despite theatrical releases being basically non-existent, Jonathan and Corey still found four movies to fill out the month.
As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all.
Week 3: Holidate (2020)
Jonathan is a sucker for Christmas movies and Rom-coms so Holidate was up his alley. Despite it coming out on October 28th, this film is about two strangers who are simply fed up with being single on holidays agree to be each other's platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way. Directed by John Whitesell and stars Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, and Kristin Chenoweth.
