Timothy Dalton picks up the Walther and goes back to the beginning (the books at least). The first of Dalton's fine pair of 007 movies sees Alice Dryden climb into my cello case as we hurtle down the slopes of a movie that seems to have aged better than most, via the KGB, Afghanistan and a-Ha.
