One of the jewels of the Northwest is the Emerald Downs Racetrack. Situated in Auburn, Washington, with an amazing view of Mt. Rainier, it's a really fun place to spend an evening or sunny Saturday with friends and family.

The good folks of Emerald Downs gave us amazing access to record a podcast episode there: we met the horses, talked with an amazing jockey, and heard the dulcet tones of the race announcer up-close. 

Have a listen, then visit the Downs for their annual Longacres Mile — the most prestigious horse race in the area — or the wiener-dog races, if dachshunds (and wiener wanna-bes) are more your style!
