“Lessons from the Screenplay” creator Michael Tucker and the LFTS team do deeper dives into the storytelling of individual movies and chat with the creatives behind those films.
I really enjoy the banter between these four peeps. They're obviously successful in filmmaking — which comes across in their comments on Hollywood, etc. — but what makes listening to their podcasts extra fun (for me) is how they're all really good friends.
Every episode of this show gives you a lot to think about, specifically about movies that you may love. But it doesn't bog you down because the hosts have a good dynamic, and whether you'd outright call it curation or not, there's somewhat of a narrowing in on interesting aspects. Assuming your interested in film analysis/critique/overthinking, which I recognize might not be a super popular interest.
