This chapter has the tendency to make you bummed. But as you begin to study these passages, the words, context, you see hope weaved in. This country is in a dark time, There is hope.1 There is Hope when things look hopeless When studying prophecy we need to keep in mind that there is near and far fulfillment. God would have a fulfillment take place in the time of the prophet but there was also a deeper fulfillment. We are currently at a place in time where the things prophesied by Isaiah can happen in our day.
