These 14 verses teach us this: that Moab (modern-day Jordan) plays a very key role in Bible prophecy. We’re 21 centuries from the first coming of Christ and we have this Bible that goes back thousands of years to the Moses. We’re talking about the kingdom of Moab 3000 years ago to prophetic fulfillment to a time yet future dealings with the nation of Jordan. This is cool because Jordan is on your map! It’s not like the Amorites or the Hittites, they are gone. We’re going to be looking at Jordan and what God has in store for that. We should be having our newspaper or news apps open as we’re reading our Bibles!I believe this is why so many Christians are dead in their walks with God because they have no idea what is going on! Nations are called to give God glory. They are called to be submissive to Him and to bring Him glory. When nations don’t do this they bring upon themselves judgment.God will judge Moab but He will not destroy them. God has a special place for Moab (Jordan) in the future.
