My name is Nahal Haghbin, I’m from Tianjin, China. I am an Integrative Yoga Therapist in training at the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy. In my other roles, I conduct research on public health ethics and epidemiological studies on infectious diseases.

HOW DO YOU KNOW OF THE BAB?

I knew of the Bab from a young age growing up in a Baha’i family, my love for Him intensified as I deepened in His writings and meditated on His sacred writings.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORY, SACRED WRITING, QUALITIES OR NAME OF THE BAB?

One of my favorite qualities that attracted me to His teaching is His role in purifying the world for the coming of Baha’u’llah ‘Him Whom God Shall Make Manifest’ as proclaimed by the Bab - His role is similar to that of John the Baptist in world history. The Bab & Baha’u’llah together are known as the Twin Manifestations of God.

My favorite quote from The Bab is “For indeed if thou dost open the heart of a person for His sake, better will it be for thee than every virtuous deed; since deeds are secondary to faith in Him and certitude in His Reality.”

HOW I DREW INSPIRATION FOR THE MEDITATION I CREATED FOR THE BICENTENARY MEDITATION PROJECT?

I drew inspiration for the meditation I created by the love for the quote above, which hopes to ‘open the heart’ for His sake and to strengthen ‘faith in Him and certitude in His Reality’ - this quote was the inception of the Bicentenary Meditation Project.
