To paraphrase Trump, if the United States fails to punish violent insurrectionists, it will no longer have a country, definitely not a Democracy. Trump must be prosecuted for treason by the DOJ, and if convicted, should get the Death Penalty. That's how respectable nations deal with Traitors. The Senate trial must halt in order to allow the Justice Department to prosecute. Senate Republicans will sadly acquit (They Hate 🇺🇸), which would the trigger double jeopardy, preventing the DOJ from prosecuting Trump. This would sad and extremely dangerous to American Democracy and the Rule of Law. Punish Donald Trump to prevent a shadow government that can attempt Coup whenever it wants. GOP is now Trump's party. Can't Trust It!
