Hello there, this is the first episode of my new project Blood, Bones and Brains. In this I am outlining the major concepts I want to cover and doing a brief biography and extolling of the 'father' of microbiology, Anton Van Leeuwenhoek.

Theme tune written and performed by Kyle David Smith.

Anton's letters that appear in philosophical transactions can be found by searching the Royal Society Archives, be warned these are scanned images that have OCS overlayed, not transcriptions.

As for the other information the biolographical information came from a variety of sources, Wikipedia through to dutch national archives, these can be found by simple searching his name in Google.
