I’ve Almost Done it.
I’m so close now, but I cannot stop. I must remain vigilant.
This was only a partial success, even now, all it would take is to stumble, hesitate, or flinch and all of this was pointless
I have no time for regrets. My Compatriots these past few months -Fenlin, Alice, Angela and her parrot- would never have supported this initiative. So I structured time to keep them out of the way, gave them their own roles to play in this ramshackle timeline, a temporary world built out of the destruction of its former self. Powered by the Apocalypse.
They wouldn’t exept that this world is fake, disposable. The whole POINT of the new timeline is to build up enough suffering to create a truly perfect reality, but this tortured version of home, a sort of agony plane or Dungeon World, has to exist long enough to do that.
It will all be worth it in the end. I have to believe that
