Mac Rollins began his law enforcement career in 2010 in Northern California. He is currently assigned to his agency’s detective bureau working sex crimes and child abuse.

After some personal experiences involving his own mental health, he became an advocate for mental health awareness within policing as well other issues currently facing law enforcement nationwide.

In this episode we talk about what prompted his blog, social media and podcast. We connect on these necessary conversations with regard to first responder pressures, traumas, wellness and resilience.  We also dive into policing  topics like patrol dynamics, assignments, optics and morale.

Mac is the host of the Zen Cop Podcast and also operates a blog at www.thezencop.com. He is currently working on his Master’s Degree in psychology with aspirations to become a clinical therapist focusing specifically on the law enforcement community.
