Just working out the details on it. Other

On to the outdoorsy horror. I

for you for this offering. Receive
2:14
it thus and happy camping.
2:17
The 13
2:33
steps down to hell were located
2:36
in Maltby Cemetery in Washington. There
2:39
used to be a staircase that began at ground
2:41
level and descended down under the earth. It
2:45
was said to be a low grade entrance to the tomb
2:47
of a wealthy local family. According
2:50
to the legend, you had to go to the cemetery
2:52
late at night and walk down these
2:55
13 steps. While
2:57
descending the steps, you wouldn't be
2:59
able to hear anything. Once
3:02
you had reached the bottom, if you turned around,
3:06
you would be confronted by a vision of
3:08
hell. They
3:10
say that the vision would drive you insane.
3:14
Those who watched people performing this ritual
3:16
said that they witnessed the person stop at the bottom,
3:20
turn around, and then collapse
3:22
to their knees in horror. According
3:27
to some reports, several children emerged
3:29
nearly comatose from the steps, and
3:32
many of them never uttered another word.
3:37
The 13 steps no longer
3:39
exist. As
3:42
the story goes, they were bulldozed or
3:44
filled in with concrete years ago. Since
3:47
then, there have been severe, no
3:50
trespassing limitations on the cemetery,
3:52
and even rumors of kids making expeditions
3:55
late at night to Maltby Cemetery,
3:58
armed with shovels, hoping to unearth
4:01
the thirteen steps down to hell. My
4:04
girlfriend and I wanted to see this for ourselves.
4:07
You have to go down these thirteen steps,
4:09
and then you see a little chair. If
4:12
you sit in the chair, it automatically means
4:14
that you've sold your soul to the devil. Sounds
4:17
really creepy. I was at church
4:19
with my friend, and his pastor said that
4:21
he went there when he was sixteen years old, and
4:24
it was the worst experience of his entire life.
4:27
A group of us headed out to the cemetery in Maltby.
4:31
We made sure we got there as close to midnight as possible.
4:34
After about an hour of searching around in the dark,
4:36
we finally found it. In
4:39
the moonlight, you couldn't see the bottom
4:41
of the steps. We tried
4:43
using flashlight, and we still couldn't
4:46
see the bottom. It was frightening,
4:48
and one of the girls was so freaked out that she
4:51
couldn't even look down into the staircase. I
4:54
decided I was going to go for it, but
4:57
as I walked down the first two steps, I
4:59
started to feel sick. After
5:03
the next two steps, I felt lightheaded.
5:07
When I got to the sixth step, I became
5:10
so cold that I could barely
5:12
breathe, and I could hear muffled
5:14
yelling and screaming. I
5:17
was not going any further. I couldn't
5:19
even take the next step. When
5:22
I turned to climb back up, I
5:24
could feel something pushing on my
5:26
back, and I couldn't see out
5:29
up to my friends clearly. When
5:32
I finally reached the top of the staircase, I
5:34
realized the yelling and screaming was
5:37
coming from my friends. They
5:39
were screaming that I had disappeared
5:42
when I went down. I'm
5:44
six feet tall. I couldn't have been
5:46
out of sight after having only gone
5:48
down halfway. Needless
5:52
to say, we were all completely
5:54
freaked out and got out of there as quickly as
5:56
possible. To this day,
5:58
every now and then, I was so scared. I dream
6:01
about the 13 steps that lead down to hell,
6:04
and I always wake up
6:06
in a cold sweat. Side
6:09
note, there is also a 13-step
6:12
cemetery in Palo called
6:15
Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. There
6:17
is a set of stairs leading up to the cemetery
6:20
gate that has 12 steps, but
6:23
at night, a 13th step
6:25
is said to appear. Clown
6:30
at Mid-M
6:52
There was a man who wanted to hire a clown
6:54
for his son's birthday party. He
6:56
asked around at work, and one of his colleagues,
6:59
Sergio, gave him the number of a clown
7:02
who, he said, came highly recommended.
7:06
The man called the number and arranged for the clown
7:08
to come over on Saturday and entertain the
7:10
kids at the party. However,
7:13
when Saturday came around, it was
7:15
raining, and the clown didn't show up. The
7:19
children all grew bored of waiting and went
7:21
home early. His
7:23
son was terribly disappointed and
7:26
ran upstairs to his bedroom in tears.
7:29
The birthday party was completely ruined.
7:33
The father kept calling the clown's number,
7:35
but there was no answer. Why
7:37
did you recommend such an unreliable
7:40
clown, Sergio? he
7:42
thought bitterly. That
7:45
night, the man and his wife were lying in
7:47
bed, exhausted. The
7:49
party had been a disaster, and he was
7:51
still irritated that the clown had not shown
7:54
up. What time did you tell
7:56
him to come? his wife asked. I
7:59
said, very quickly. Very clearly, Saturday
8:01
at twelve o'clock, he replied.
8:04
Maybe he thought it was twelve at night, said
8:07
his wife. A clown
8:09
at midnight? The
8:13
man laughed out loud. Who would hire
8:15
a clown to come to a birthday party
8:17
at midnight? He turned
8:20
over and drifted off to sleep. At
8:23
midnight, they were awoken by a horrible
8:25
scream. It sounded
8:28
like their son. Something's
8:30
wrong, whispered the mother, turning on
8:32
the light. Stay here, said
8:34
the man jumping out of bed. I'll check on him. Maybe
8:37
he's just having a bad dream. He
8:40
stepped into the hallway and immediately
8:42
stopped in his tracks. There
8:44
was a trail of muddy footprints on
8:47
the floor. They were
8:49
too large to belong to a normal man.
8:52
The footprints looked like clown
8:54
shoes. They led from
8:56
the open window in the bathroom, down
8:59
the hallway to his son's bedroom. A
9:02
clown, thought the horrified
9:04
father. A clown
9:06
at midnight. And
9:09
then, without knowing why, he remembered
9:12
something about Sergio, his friend from
9:14
work, who had recommended the clown. Sergio
9:18
had two sons, but
9:20
one of them had died not long ago, under
9:22
mysterious circumstances. He
9:25
had never discussed it with Sergio himself,
9:27
for obvious reasons. But
9:30
rumors had spread around the office that,
9:32
after several days of intense searching, Sergio's
9:35
son had been found dead in the woods.
9:39
Why had he remembered that just now? With
9:43
a shaking hand, the father reached
9:45
out and opened his son's bedroom door. The
9:49
room was empty. The
9:51
bed was unmade and the window was wide
9:53
open. There were traces
9:55
of mud on the carpet. The
9:58
man let out an anguished howl.
11:53
The
12:00
father dropped the phone and ran out of the house.
12:04
He went into the forest, which stood
12:06
behind the house. When
12:08
he came to a big, gnarled oak tree, he
12:11
suddenly stopped, sank to his
12:13
knees, and began crying
12:15
uncontrollably. He
12:18
had found
12:19
what remained of his son.
12:28
Judy was boring. Then, Judy
12:30

13:16
My mother told me this story once, and
13:19
my grandmother told me that she lived through
13:21
it. In
13:23
the early 1960s, there was a
13:25
small town in Mexico where a lot of babies
13:27
just happened to be born around the same
13:29
time. It's
13:32
said that there was a woman who haunted
13:34
the town. She was not
13:36
a ghost. She was one
13:38
of the 200 people that lived in the town
13:40
at the time. People
13:42
say that she was a witch,
13:45
a worshiper of the devil, and
13:47
many people said that she would go out into the fields
13:50
in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep.
13:54
Some local farmers claimed that they
13:56
would see her whenever they would go outside to check
13:58
on their animals. because their animals
14:01
would make a lot of noise whenever she passed by. They
14:04
could never tell who it was because it
14:07
was always pitch black and they couldn't
14:09
see a thing. It
14:11
was a poor town with a couple
14:14
of street lights. People
14:16
weren't so worried about her for a while because
14:19
they saw that she did no harm to
14:21
them. Until something
14:25
terrible happened. One
14:28
night, a married couple slept
14:30
with their baby between them. They
14:32
were so poor that they couldn't afford a mattress
14:35
and had a carpet as their bed. The
14:38
parents didn't sleep too close
14:40
to their baby because they were
14:42
afraid that they would accidentally roll
14:45
over and hurt their child. The
14:47
mother and father were deep into their sleep
14:50
until the mother heard the baby cry
14:52
terribly. It
14:55
shrieked a blood-curdling scream, loud
14:58
enough to wake up my grandmother and grandfather
15:00
who lived next to them. The
15:03
baby cried and the mother woke up
15:05
and tried to put him back to sleep. Whenever
15:08
she went to sleep again, she heard
15:10
the baby cry once more. She
15:14
woke up again and did the same as before.
15:17
This went on for about two more
15:19
times. The mother became
15:22
angry and impatient with her baby because
15:24
she was really tired. The
15:27
father was asleep and would not wake
15:29
up no matter how many times his baby cried.
15:33
The fifth time that the baby cried, his
15:36
mother ignored it. The
15:38
baby cried for another couple of minutes. The
15:41
mother continued to ignore her baby until she
15:45
subconsciously heard someone walking
15:47
outside. She
15:49
heard the door squeak open slowly. Then
15:54
it shut loudly. The door was made of thick metal,
15:57
so the last night, the mother brain New packed, Four competitors
15:59
becoming caught. loud sound terrified her and
16:01
finally woke her and her husband up as well. When
16:05
she looked for her baby, she saw that
16:07
he was quiet and thought that he was
16:10
sleeping. The mother asked
16:12
her husband why he wouldn't wake up before. He
16:15
said that he never heard anything. When
16:18
the mother went to hold her baby, she
16:20
saw that he was cold. She
16:23
kissed her baby to try and wake him up, but
16:26
he wouldn't.
16:27
The baby was dead. When
16:30
she took off his blanket, she
16:33
saw that his stomach and arms had
16:35
scratch marks. Someone
16:38
was hurting her child while he was
16:40
sleeping.
16:42
Then her husband cried, the witch,
16:44
the witch killed him.
16:50
She killed my son. The
16:54
mother swore that she heard a woman
16:56
giveling. After
16:58
that, many parents held
17:00
their children close to them whenever they slept.
17:04
Sometimes children would cry in the
17:06
middle of the night out of nowhere and
17:08
their mothers would begin to pray. The
17:11
children, who could speak, said
17:14
that they would feel someone grabbing them. The
17:17
witch would leave after. It
17:21
wasn't until years later that two
17:23
children died, a brother and a sister.
17:27
Except it was in a river in the town.
17:31
One man swore that he saw a woman
17:33
pushing the boy and girl's heads into
17:35
the water and laughing when
17:38
she did so. He
17:40
yelled at her to leave them alone and
17:42
ran to stop her. She
17:44
kept laughing at him and was singing as
17:46
he ran towards her. The
17:49
wedding almost reached her. She
17:52
was gone and the boy and girl's
17:54
bodies were floating on the water. People
17:59
began to suspect. women
18:01
who could be the witch. But
18:04
coincidentally, many people
18:06
left the town around that time to move
18:08
to other places. She
18:11
could have been one of them.
18:26
Suspension Bridge My
18:34
buddy told me a story once about
18:36
a time when he lived in Japan in
18:38
a horrible event that he experienced
18:41
while there. At
18:44
the time he was 17 years old
18:46
and had managed to find himself a summer
18:49
job working in a store that sold electrical
18:51
goods. One day
18:53
after work, the manager of the store
18:56
decided to bring all of the employees out
18:58
for dinner. The restaurant
19:00
they were going to was up in the mountains, and
19:02
to get there, they had to cross an old
19:04
suspension bridge that stretched across
19:06
a deep valley. There
19:09
were five of them in total, so they decided
19:11
to take two cars. The
19:14
manager drove the car in front with two
19:16
teenage boys inside. My
19:18
friend drove the car behind and his
19:20
colleague was in the passenger seat. They
19:24
started out straight after work, but
19:26
the manager took a wrong turn, so by
19:28
the time they reached the suspension bridge, it
19:30
was almost twilight. There
19:33
was a light rain and the bridge was
19:35
covered in a strange, wispy
19:38
fog. The manager
19:40
drove across the suspension bridge and
19:42
my friend followed close behind in the other
19:44
car. However, when they
19:46
reached the center of the bridge, the
19:49
manager's car came to a sudden halt.
19:52
The two people in the car behind were
19:54
puzzled. They couldn't understand
19:56
why their boss had stopped in the middle
19:58
of the bridge. After
20:01
waiting a few minutes, they began
20:03
to get impatient. Since
20:05
they showed no signs of moving, my
20:07
friend was about to get out and see what the
20:09
trouble was. Just
20:12
then, they saw the rear door
20:14
of the car in front open and the two boys
20:16
who were sitting in the back seat got out.
20:20
My friend opened his door and was about to
20:22
ask them what was wrong, but the words
20:24
died in his throat. He
20:27
heard the boys screaming their lungs out.
20:30
Suddenly, the two young men joined hands
20:32
and started to run like crazy. They
20:35
rushed over to the side of the suspension bridge
20:38
and threw themselves over the guard rail.
20:41
Horrified, my friend rushed over
20:44
to the guard rail and peered over the side, but
20:47
he couldn't see anything because of the mist. The
20:50
drop was over a hundred feet. Nobody
20:54
could survive that. He
20:57
stood there for a few minutes and stunned to
20:59
silence, staring down into the
21:01
foggy abyss. When
21:03
he went over to check the car in front, he
21:06
found the manager crouched over the steering
21:08
wheel, gripping it so tightly that his
21:10
knuckles were white. Tears
21:13
were streaming down his face and he kept muttering
21:16
under his breath over and over. I
21:18
want to do it, but I can't do it. I want to
21:20
do it, but I can't do it. I want to do it, but
21:22
I can't do it. My
21:25
friend called the police and when they arrived,
21:28
they had to pry the manager's hands off
21:30
the steering wheel. They
21:32
took him away in an ambulance, still
21:34
muttering and gibbering as if he had taken
21:37
leave of his sanity. Later
21:40
that night, the bodies of the two young
21:42
men were fished out of the river. My
21:45
friend and his colleague were persistently questioned
21:48
by the police, but they couldn't
21:50
shed any light on the puzzling incident.
21:53
The police seemed to think it was some
21:56
kind of weird suicide pact. After
22:00
that, my friend went to visit the store manager
22:02
who was recovering in a mental hospital. After
22:06
some small talk, he turned
22:08
the conversation to the strange events that
22:10
had taken place that tragic
22:12
summer night. The
22:14
store manager beckoned him closer and
22:17
whispered in his ear. He
22:19
told him that as soon as they were driving
22:22
across the suspension bridge, he
22:24
was shocked to see a woman suddenly emerge
22:27
from the fog. She
22:29
stood right in front of the car and
22:31
he had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting
22:33
her. The woman had
22:35
long black hair and was dressed
22:38
in a brilliant white shroud. All
22:41
of a sudden he noticed that the mist was creeping
22:44
closer, encircling the car.
22:47
Then from the depths of the wisping
22:50
fog, a group of children
22:52
appeared. They were dressed
22:54
in similar white shrouds and
22:56
their faces were deformed and smeared
22:59
with blood. Before
23:01
they knew what was happening, the grotesque children
23:03
surrounded the car and began
23:06
beating on the windows and doors with their
23:08
fists. The
23:10
children began chanting, Join
23:13
us, join us, join us,
23:16
join us, join
23:19
us, join us, join
23:22
us. The manager
23:24
said that the children's haunting voices
23:27
echoed around in his head and he
23:29
felt powerless to resist. He
23:32
clung on to the steering wheel for dear life.
23:36
At that moment, he dearly wanted
23:38
to die, but some small
23:41
part of them desperately wanted to leave.
23:44
He heard the boys in the back seat screaming
23:46
as the children opened the door and
23:49
dragged them out into the mist. The
23:52
terrified manager had to fight the urge to
23:54
join them in death. After
23:58
hearing this story, my friend was
24:00
shaking with fear. As
24:03
he rose to leave, the manager grabbed
24:05
him roughly by the arm and hissed.
24:08
I think that's what happened, but don't
24:10
tell the police. They'll
24:12
never believe you.
24:14
Sometimes I don't even
24:16
believe myself.
24:19
Just promise me one
24:21
thing. Promise me
24:24
that you will never attempt to cross
24:26
that suspension bridge again, or
24:29
they'll come for you and
24:32
drag you to your death
24:34
as well.
24:53
The
24:58
Narrow Staircase leads the way
25:01
up to the padlocked door, below
25:04
the halls as dark as sin with
25:07
blood stains on the floor. Nobody
25:10
knows who climbed halfway to
25:13
where the stairs are bent. What
25:16
crouching figure waited there
25:18
with murderous intent. And
25:21
no one knows what now ascends the
25:23
thirteenth step and stops and
25:26
flutters like a dying bird
25:29
before it moans and drops.
25:33
One night I stepped into the hall
25:36
reciting whispered prayers, and
25:39
to my horror saw
25:41
what stands upon
25:43
the spiral stairs. Stairfield
26:01
a nutshell and
26:03
now the darkness at the bottom of the stairs
26:14
