It’s Friday - July 22nd

And while our own Boerne Star newspaper recently celebrated 116 years of serving Boerne with the news in print, it was on this day in 1887 that Henry Harold Brookes published the Panhandle Herald, now the oldest continuously published newspaper in the Texas Panhandle.  The oldest newspaper still in action today is the Daily news in the City of Galveston...first published in 1842.

In music news Director Peter Jackson says he’s working on a new Beatles project that’s very different from his Get Back documentary but that’s about all he said.   It was Peter Jackson who gave Paul the idea to have John Lennon on the big screen singing his parts while Paul performed “I Got A Feeling” LIVE in concert…a very powerful moment you can see on YouTube.
