It’s Friday May 10th. 

And famous people born on this date include Bono from U2 who turns 64, Fred Astaire was born in 1899 (he’s no longer living), and Boerne Radio’s Olivia Wiley turns 22!

There will be major closures on the 1604 and I-10 interchange over the weekend, but they will be cleared up by Mother’s Day. Starting tonight at 9 through Sunday at 7 am, the 1604 eastbound lanes, the I-10 eastbound main lanes and all four of the cloverleafs will be closed. TXDot does advise that these plans are subject to change and will keep signs posted of the current closures. 

Champion High School has announced the top 10 ranked students within their graduating senior class. These students, as well as the rest of the class will be celebrated on May 23rd for the Chargers Commencement Ceremony at Boerne ISD stadium. However, we would like to congratulate the Valedictorian for the 2024 school year, Samantha Weltons. and the Salutatorian Ava Foster - #girlpower - for the record in the top 10 - just 2 dudes.

And over at Boerne High School, their graduation will happen on the 24th with Aubrey Menz as your Valedictorian, and Owen Kalapaca as the Salutatorian.  Let’s check the scores in the top 10 at Boerne…with Aubrey at #1 we have 4 ladies, and 6 dudes. #dudepower
