I absolutely adore this podcast! The sound quality is amazing, just like the music! I really love the combination of serious storytelling and goofs! If you like DnD and music you'll definitely enjoy this!
4 actual, talented musicians sit down and play D&D, one as dm the other 3 as multiclass bards... I mean if that description isn't enough to peak your interest, you're dead inside. This hilarious and engaging story is made infinitely better by the fact that the players write a song specific to each episode to cast some form of greater magic. An enjoyable listen from start to finish. (I'm not jealous, you're jealous!)
A truly enjoyable Dnd AP podcast with a musical twist!!
The amazing musical production really helps set the scene for this and it's great actual play without getting needlessly bogged down in side chatter. An amazing show. If you love DnD podcasts (and even if not!) please check it out.
Do you love D&D? Do you love music? Have you ever thought it would be cool if real musicians played bards and actually performed on the instruments their PCs play? Yes? Then you should absolutely be listening to this podcast! I have to admit that I wasn't immediately enraptured, but the premise of composing music on the fly to go with their characters' performances kept me listening long enough that I began to really appreciate this podcast.
These Bards have melted my heart, made me laugh, and are telling one of the best Actual Play stories out there. Entirely elevated by their musical prowess and new song produced for every single ep!
Great podcast, dungeons and dragons with bards and actual musically talented people who can play instruments and sing! Ridiculous that this doesn't have more reviews.
Yet another one of my favorites. The most educational ttrpg podcast, for non-ttrpg content. I have learned more about music than I thought possible, and in an environment that I didn't expect. I love the characters, and that it doesn't subscribe to the 4-person party cliche'. These folks know what they're doing, and they play with such confidence and spirit its almost overwhelming. Each episode has a custom song performed by the players themselves and the whole show, by far, has the best soundtrack out there.
4 actual band mates got together to play D&D and record it for us lucky folks to hear! A group of 3 Bards start their time at Strumlots by joining forces to invoke their ensamble magic by rolling cord and drum kits dice to come up with a new song. Each episode, they face zany adventures and create new music. Mostly clean and kid-friendly, with fun mischeiviousness sprinkled in good amounts.
