Host Update
I am currently working on Turret Buddy, a game that is in development.
Turret Buddy is a charming story about a turret that thinks it's a confetti cannon.
The game is almost finished, but the phrase "Almost done" is common among game developers and often implies that there is still lots of work to be done.
Importance of Prototyping:
Prototyping plays a vital role in game development, and I recognize its significance.
Prototyping is an inevitable part of the process, and the key is to decide when to engage in it.
I admit that I have often made the mistake of coding numerous features for an idea without creating a bare-bones, testable version to evaluate its fun factor.
Prototyping allows me as a game developer to validate ideas, test mechanics, and iterate on gameplay before investing significant time and effort into the final product. It helps identify and address potential issues early on, ensuring that the game will be enjoyable for players.
