Differentiation doesn't always mean you're selling something that no other company offers. Selling something no one else does could help you corner the market, only if people really want what you're selling. If you are the only one offering it, then you have to convince people why they need what you have. Competition is not a bad thing, but if you only promote yourself as another "me too" marketer or, as I call it, a mimic, then you're always going to have to compete on price.
Don't be afraid to dig deep and find what sets you apart. Maybe it's your approach to customer service. Perhaps it's the systems that make it easier for clients to work with you. Differentiation is a 360 degree view and one that requires thought and action to make an effective process. You can stand out, but it may require you to invest time in really analyzing what makes you a great resource.
