In today’s episode, I review the neuroscience behind the Connectome. Using material presented in Brain Facts published by the Society for Neuroscience, I talk about how our neurons communicate with one another, and how our brain is able to encode information to interpret, process, and respond to the different stimuli in our environment.

My guest is Dr. Michael Tadross, an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Neurobiology at Duke University. Dr. Tadross has developed a cutting-edge tool for cell-type-specific pharmacology, DART (drug acutely restricted by tethering). His lab is a combination of engineers and neuroscientists working together to address conceptual questions in neuroscience.
