The Salvation Army is best known for its humanitarian work, and it played a significant role in assisting people throughout the recovery from the 2019 monsoon. Hear from Brad Whittle, one of the organisation's Townsville-based Officers, in this episode as he explains some of the ways that the Salvation Army has helped the community in recent times and it has been a source of strength and security during his personal struggles.

BRAVE is about sharing the inspiring stories of ordinary people in our communities. The series is localised to North Queensland, Australia, encompassing the areas surrounding Townsville, Charters Towers, and Winton. In 2019, the region was devastated by an unprecedented monsoon event, with the Covid pandemic affecting it a year later.
