In this episode, Tiffany invites Dr. Kate Stone (She/Her) from the UK to share her philosophy, her coming-out story as a transwoman, and work with renowned companies around the world with creative designs.

Kate describes life as a piece of clothing. "You need to wear it first, to know if you like it." We learn that Kate was always curious as a kid about how things worked and find her passion as a scientist, but she hid the fact that she enjoyed girls' clothing. Years later after being married, Kate still hid this secret even after having 3 kids of her own. At 38, Kates's wife found out and showed no support. However, Kate learned that what she had considered her weakness all these years, was actually her superpower! Kate mentions a sense of regret for not being who they truly outgrow the fear of others judging them. She continues to explain the changes after COVID with work, the importance of telling your story in your own way, and her discoveries as a scientist. Kate says that we are all connected to the universe, ARE the universe and the answer to everything is donuts! Lastly, Kate leaves us with a piece of advice “Life just gets better when you follow your true self, follow your dreams, and don’t let yourself get weighed down by regrets,”

Dr. Kate Stone has a degree in electronics from Salford University and Ph.D. in physics from Cambridge University.  Kate has spent the last decade on a journey of discovery from the world of science to creative design.  Kate and her team at Novalia have developed a new technology platform with which they create products that are a delightful blend of being magical, old-fashioned, and futuristic. Over the last few years with her team, she has created experiences for large brands as part of advertising campaigns, working with Pizza Hut, Mcdonald's, Bud Light, Hershey's, and IKEA.
