During this talk, speaker Lia McGuinness shares about seeking initimacy with Christ as the core of the spiritual life.  Borrowing from Scripture, from Saints, her Spiritual Director and her own lived experience, Lia unpacks the deepest hunger of our soul, to be totally seen, totally known and totally loved by God.  Further, she describes how this deepest desire of our souls can only be satisfied by God, in prayer which seeks union with Him in all things.  We hope that this talk blesses you as much as it did us.

1. Reflect on the following definition for Intimacy with God: "Intimacy is born out of the desire to be truly known, accepted, and loved in the reality of the total person that you are; this is our ulitimate desire.  This can only be achieved in our relationship with God" (Lia McGuinness' Spiritual Director)
2. God longs for us to invite Him in. "God desires to dwell in the human heart, both personal and salvific, and for this must be invited. This invitation must come from us." - (Mark Marivalle, Jesus in You). Take some time to pray and be seen by God, and to invite Him still deeper int your heart.
3. Take some time to make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament and as the Holy Spirit to reveal what God is saying to you, through this scripture:  " 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” - JOHN 17: 20-23
