In this episode, we travel to MISSISSIPPI!! (I sang a song in my head while I was spelling that). Tishomingo State Park has been "steeped in history" since 1935. It highlights the beautiful Bear Creek Canyon and its sandstone outcropping trails. Join Rebekah (the one who finds the salamanders) and I as we trek the beautiful loop trails through the canyon. We discover bridges, climb rocks, and try not to fall in the creek. We learn the difference between state parks and national park and give our take on what gear we found most effective for a day hikes (spoiler alert its mostly snacks).
I want to thank Rebekah Matthews for being such a wonderful guest this episode. We recorded almost 2 1/2 weeks ago when we thought we'd have the rest of the semester to hike. Now that all of our friends are back at their respective homes self quarantining, its nice to look back and appreciate the good times of hanging out and traveling with friend.
