You might have heard Rihanna tweet about this, but the farmer's struggle is unfortunately not new. We dig deep with those on the ground to really understand the historical and political context behind the Farmer's Protests in India and understand what we can do to support those affected by the recent legislation.

Our first guest speaker is Harman (@brown.journals), an activist from Canada, who gives us a deeper understanding at how long the protests have been going on for and the context around propaganda being spun out by the Indian government. She provides a great perspective on how social media has helped combat misinformation around the protests and also discusses how international voices are key to pushing back against the legislation affecting the farmers. 

Sandy Grewal from Sahaita (@sahaita) is our second guest speaker, also from Canada. She goes into depth on how Sahaita is currently helping the younger generations, the children of the farmers in India, to obtain and continue their education despite the challenges they face at home. Sahaita helps reduce the burden from farmers of worrying about their children's futures and provides a light at the end of the tunnel to end the cycle of debt for the families of farmers.
