Anybody want to have a “call a bunch of members of Congress” party? Below are all the people that FreePress (organizer of today’s Net Neutrality protests) says are the ones who do not yet support our internet goals. And if you’re confused about what’s going on here, read the following explanation.
What’s Net Neutrality?
This is the concept that all traffic on the internet should be treated equally. For instance, the principle of net neutrality posits that if you want to stream video on Netflix, you should receive the same speed as you would if you were using Hulu. Under false pretenses of protecting Net Neutrality, the FCC is planning to allow the company that provides your internet services to charge websites for faster access to your computer. What if this happened? With Bright World being run on absolutely no money at all, this site could become sllloowwww! Please help! Get in touch with the following members of Congress (call the Congressional Switchboard at 1-800-828-0498):
Representatives– Speaker John Boehner– Congressman John Barrow– Congressman Bobby Rush- Congressman Fred Upton– Congressman Bob Latta– Congressman Greg Walden– Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn– Congressman Joe Barton– Congressman Henry Cueller– Congressman Gene Green
Senators
– Senator Jim Moran– Senator Roy Blunt– Senator Mitch McConnell– Senator John Thune
