This podcast talks about the hypocrisy of saying Black Lives Matter but celebrating and praising people who upheld slavery, the genocide of Native Americans and white supremacy. This episode takes a deep dive and really gets the listeners to question what they are celebrating when they celebrate these figures. Are they only celebrating the "good" parts of history that they contributed to or something greater? Should we simply excuse or dismiss their behavior as the "norm" of the time because many historical figures had slaves? In this podcast, I challenge listeners to really think about why they are celebrating them and if it is really them they should be celebrating.
