Erectile dysfunction in young men is a bigger issue than you know (no pun intended).

The reason it’s such a serious issue is because the condition of E.D. can be hereditary. Young men can grow up unaware of the issue until they are placed in a situation where that sort of “performance” is expected and they simply can’t accomplish an erection. Today’s guest, Ryan Canfield shares how he became fully aware of his inherited erectile dysfunction when he was first sexually active at age 18. He tells the story of the situation he was in, what he thought and felt about it, and how he moved on from there. This father-son conversation is both touching and revealing as Ryan and his dad, Daniel, chat openly about how they’ve each come to grips with the impact this condition has had on their lives.

Erectile dysfunction has nothing to do with your manhood.

Yes, E.D. impacts a part of you that feels like it’s directly related to your manhood but the reality is that erectile dysfunction in young men is similar to any other physical condition - there is a chance you inherited it from your father. Regardless, any sexual dysfunction impacts the confidence of young men. On today’s episode you’re going to hear how E.D. impacted one young man as he was moving out on his own and how he’s changed for the better as he’s come to admit and deal with his erectile dysfunction in healthier ways.

It’s important for you to talk about the issue with safe people.

Most young men who deal with erectile dysfunction are so mortified they are not about to talk to anyone about it. But the reality is that you can’t help the problem as long as you keep it under wraps. As a younger man you may have better options by dealing with the condition sooner rather than later. One young man’s turnaround all started with a courageous and open conversation with his father. And as you’ll hear from Ryan Canfield on today’s episode, there are very effective treatments for the condition that make life not only better, but so near normal that you won’t know the difference. It’s changed Ryan’s life - maybe being open can change yours as well.

Is your bravado just an attempt to compensate for your erectile dysfunction.

On today’s episode Daniel Canfield shares how he tried to compensate for the insecurity he felt about his erectile dysfunction by oversexualizing himself. He was the one to tell the dirty jokes, to make the inappropriate comments, to be the guy with the swagger and cockiness. But under the surface he didn’t really have the confidence he portrayed. What are you doing to compensate and how is it impacting the people around you. More importantly, when are you going to stop pretending and be the real you? Today’s episode should give you hope. You’ll hear the story of a young man with erectile dysfunction who boldly faced it, opened up about it, and has built a life that he’s proud of in spite of ED.

A message to millennial guys who may have erectile dysfunction.

Stop hiding. Talk about it. You’ll never be able to get the help you need - to get the relief from the pressure your condition is putting on your mind, heart, and soul if you don’t come out of the dark and admit that you have a physical condition that needs treatment. You’re not less of a man if you do. In fact, you’ll actually be showing the kind of courage that real men express when they do the right thing. Listen to this episode. Get inspired. Then take action.
