The Madame and Monkey got to sit down with Trystan about his transition, changes from becoming a parent, and the journey he continues today as he looks forward to the next steps in making his body his own.

Trystan Reese is a transgender man who has been working in the LGBT movement his entire adult life. He started out as an organizer on political campaigns, spending eight years persuading self-identified homophobes while working on ballot measures all over the country. Last year his family exploded into the national spotlight when they chose to have a biological child that Trystan gave birth to. Trystan lives in Portland with Biff and their three amazing kids.
