In this episode I speak with Aimie Whiting, a coach, a qualified personal trainer and a metal artist. Aimie takes classes at Urban Climb’s Collingwood gym, does one-on-one coaching with clients through her personal training business and spends the rest of her time creating metal sculptures such as the giant owl she recently completed. We cover a lot of ground in this conversation, including her van conversion, her upbringing in New Zealand and how that led her down the path of creating metal sculptures. In the second half of this episode we move onto what her own training schedule looks like, how she stays motivated, and why it’s important to be willing to fail in your climbing and training. Aimie has to be one of the most determined, hard-working people I've had the pleasure of speaking with.
