On the fourth episode of Buhay Banda Diaries, Joal is joined by bandmate and the mastermind behind heavy metal quartet Lavos Beckon, Gary Sumalde. Gary talks about discovering that he has an ear for music, how he came across heavy metal, and the beginnings of Lavos Beckon. He also shares the roller coaster ride the band has gone on through the years, as well as his experiences with recording for the band under the guidance of Slapshock's Lean Ansing. Finally, he imparts some advice to the listeners on how to keep their musical ambitions alive despite the challenges commonly faced by many bands.
