Amanda interviews Maria Salazar, founder of Arawayuu, an ethical fashion brand and community, which sells handcrafted bags and accessories made by female artisans of the Wayuu tribe in Colombia. Raised in Colombia and now living in San Diego, Maria uses her brand to celebrate Colombian culture, artistry, and bring people together. She and Amanda discuss the importance of ethical fashion and branding, how color and vibrance add meaning to our lives, and trusting that even in dark times, good things are headed our way.    Maria knows that Colombia does not always spark positive thoughts and associations in people. To help change the narrative around her native country, she founded a company that would showcase the beauty and talent that Colombia has to offer. Her passion for color, ethical consumerism, and community shines through every aspect of the brand and sets a new standard for entrepreneurs everywhere.    Maria has a background in social media and public relations, and she gives helpful tips on how to create an experience for your audience on social media.    Arawayuu now has a Covid-19 Response, which ensures that its artisans, who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic, are sent food. To support these women and purchase beautiful, authentic bags, accessories, and even a colorful new yoga mat strap, visit https://arawayuustore.com/.
