Ryan Manion is the sister of Silver Star recipient 1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC, who gave his life in Iraq April 29, 2007.

Ryan is the President of the Travis Manion Foundation and co-author of the book, "The Knock at the Door."

Ryan describes Travis' amazing story of heroism and the ultimate sacrifice Travis paid while defending our country. Ryan and I discuss how she navigated grief, resilience, and personal growth by losing her brother.

We discuss her family's incredible support for our nation's veterans and how the Travis Manion Foundation became one of the largest Veteran Service Organizations in the country.

Ryan's book, "The Knock at The Door," co-authored with fellow Gold Star women, shares their inspiring journey and how they dealt with the tragedy of losing loved ones during wartime.
