Excellent overview of industry awards which are sponsored by corporates that must to illustrate the need for such awards to sell and promote products. The Oscars, ManBooker, BAFTA and even the Raspberry awards for the worst movies of the years attract and generate much needed buzz for products. Such big named awards will certainly attract media ( including social media ) coverage and consequently boost sales. Humans are curious creatures and at these age FOMO: Fear of Missing out, influence how many live their lives.
