To continue the series of "writing your book," today I will be talking about editing your manuscript. When I wrote my first novel, I had no one to help me along the way. I had to do all the editing and proofreading myself which in turn I found several mistakes in my books even after they were published. I had so much anxiety just thinking about the people that purchased my books and found several mistakes. But, I've learned to let it go. Its hard to catch all the mistakes yourself and so if you don't have anyone to help you, don't beat yourself up if your published book has mistakes. Most people tend to overlook them and move on. If this is your first time editing a manuscript, I understand the overwhelm you may be feeling but you can do this! Take it day by day, chapter by chapter and before you know it, you will be done editing your manuscript!
I will also list some websites you can check out if you choose to hire an editor for your book. Some of us are able to do so and that's great! I hope you find the information useful.
