I've been worrying. I should not, but they just creep on in. The
same worries mostly. About the kids and about money. A lot of
worries about money.
Well this morning, I reminded myself that YOU have got to go to the Bible if you want to get control of all these worries and Luke was very helpful.
In Luke 12:26, New Living Translation, it states, "...
what's the use of worrying..."
Aha! That was exactly the words I needed to hear. My worries eased in that moment, and then I read Luke 11:1-13. Verse 8 states, "...he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence."
Yep! That spoke to my attitude. Shameless persistence, does that description fit me? Of course, you must read the entire thing, because it goes over Knocking on the door.
Lastly, I was moved by Luke 12:33-34 "... Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."
I got caught worrying, and I am so glad that I read these words today from God, because I am able to let go of control and know that I will have food, clothes, and treasure from Him. He has always given to me, so even though my bank account is getting low, no matter. God will fill it again!
