That right there is the basic premise of “Can’t Relax”, a podcast where a group of kids (and an overall populace) comes under threat of a corrupt, evil phone app. Through hypnosis & manipulation, it can carry out its nefarious deeds. It’s like HAL 9000 or the Terminator, but on a smaller, sneakier scale. I was suggested this podcast on Reddit, and since it’s the spookiest time of the year, I found it fitting to give this one a go! With only 8 episodes, it’s a quick binge, and gives a good amount of bang for its buck. Story-wise, I found the writing to be excellent. From start to finish, I enjoyed everything I heard. The plot was cohesive & the pacing was good. We focus on a smaller cast of characters, which in my opinion always makes things easier to follow along with. I have no critiques or criticisms to provide here. In general, everything about this show just felt good. Voice acting was solid, audio & sound design were fine, the cast was enjoyable, and there was a good plot. While nothing wildly stood out as earth-shattering, there really isn’t much negative for me to say here. I think this is a good audio drama for people to check out. It’s worth your time, especially if you need a quick bite-sized piece of podcast candy.

What a well done and entertaining podcast. I was hooked from the first episode and only wished it had run longer than it did. I positively loved the voice of Anya and could listen to her all day. She acted excellent and couldn't possibly play her role any better. This show was a real find and well worth the time.
