Richard A. Stone M.D. is a retired U.S. Army Maj. General and former Deputy Surgeon General of the United States Army, who then was called back to federal service as the Executive in Charge and Acting Under Secretary of the Veterans Health Administration, serving for three years as the leader of America’s largest health care system through the entire pandemic.
