This was one of the first True-Crime Podcasts I started listening to and it still is my favorite and model podcast. It is engaging, well-researched, and most refreshing of all for this genre, it isn't exploitative. The host and the team deal with these sensitive topics and cases with respect for the victims and the appropriate amount of reverence. If you want to truly learn about a case, Casefile will always be the place to go. They have the most information on the case and they can really immerse you in the narrative.
Three months ago I started at the beginning. This is fun and thorough story-telling. I love when red herrings seemingly get thrown in, and you actually wonder if this is the one who "did it."Excellent WritingExcellent NarratorExcellent Music & Engineering
Love this...difficult material sometimes but always brilliantly and respectfully presented.
It is simple: If you are interested in true crime YOU SHOULD LISTEN to Casefile!! Cases from everywhere around the world, an iconic host, this is a MUST-LISTEN!
Regarding informative and atmospheric true crime, this is for sure one of the best!
I wish all podcasts were like this one.
I absolutely love this podcast! One of my favorites! Its so well done and the narrators voice is soothing and nice to listen to. The quality is great. I can harldly wait for new epidodes! Thank you for putting out an amazing podcast!!!
Love this pod cast. Great story telling. So many good episodes
Extremely interesting, amazing format. No ads!In casefile podcast it will introduce you with many true crime stories and often some you haven't heard before by one who know very well how to do podcast.
One of my favorites in a very long list of true crime podcasts. So well researched and presented.
My favourite podcast!
This is the best true crime podcast out there. The episodes are thoroughly researched, maybe even too thorough but I'll take that over lack of research any day. I really appreciate that the host keeps his opinions out of the narrative and tells the story of the case as it unfolded. He handles the topics with sensitivity and overall it's just a really great podcast.
This is far and away the most consistent and strong true crime podcast I have come across. I found it when it already had 100+ episodes in the bank and I binged them within a few weeks. Still a weekly listen.
This podcast is truly great. I enjoy it as someone who follows true crime primarily in the United States because it gives me exposure to international crime. I believe the show really hit its stride with "The East Area Rapist" episodes. The previous episodes are interesting; however, these are the best episodes to date. I listened to each part (there are five) three times over because the case was interesting and there was a great deal of information. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone interested in true crime.
Such an amazing true crime podcast! I love the content of this show. The podcaster really paints a wonderful story and I find myself Googling more about the locations and things that he describes in each podcast. Listening to his accent for a full hour isn't too bad either ;)
This truly was the most frightening and compelling stories I have ever heard. The host takes you through each crime while respecting the dignity of the women involved. I love how each one he calls them survivors instead of victims. A remarkable series I was riveted from beginning till end.
Not so much a fan of the single episode cases, but the Casefile Presents deep-dives are great, for example: Casefile Presents: Searching For Sarah MacDiarmid
Listen to this every night!
It's not bad but I'm not sure why this show is so highly rated. Overly long episodes which could be half the length. The writing is very turgid and the narration is monotonous. It will appeal to those who are new to true crime, but if you've been listening to podcasts for a while and are a genuine true crime fan, you're better off with shows like Prash's Murder Map, Evidence of a Crime and Trace Evidence.
