So many Catholics have been taught that voting is a single-issue responsibility. But Pope Francis has advised voters not to ignore injustice or act as though one issue is more important than others. Pope Francis makes it clear: abortion is not the only issue that matters in choosing a candidate. Equally sacred, he says, are the lives of the poor, those already born, the destitute, the abandoned and the underprivileged, the vulnerable infirm and elderly exposed to covert euthanasia, the victims of human trafficking, new forms of slavery, and every form of rejection.
