Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. And then, Tonight, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 60. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Tuesday, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 84. Looking ahead, Tuesday Night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central Illinois. northwest Illinois. west central Illinois. east central Iowa. northeast Iowa. southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri. Day one. Today and tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk for severe thunderstorms in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, with a marginal risk across much of eastern Iowa. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail. The time frame for severe storms is 1 pm to 7 pm. West winds will gust up to 35 mph this afternoon so drivers of high profile vehicles should use extra caution. Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details. Days two through seven. Tuesday through sunday. Severe storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk for northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and west central Illinois, and a marginal risk for the rest of the outlook area. The main severe weather threats are damaging wind and large hail. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible. Thunderstorms are possible nearly each day Thursday through Sunday. Storm chances are greatest Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. It is too soon to determine the potential for severe weather. Spotter information statement.
