In Exodus 3, God appears to Moses in the flames of the burning bush and there are several references made to God appearing as a pillar of fire or flames in the clouds or on top of the mountain.Ezekiel 20:45-48In Acts 2 , we have the story of Pentecost, where the Disciples are basically in hiding following Jesus death, until the Holy Spirit descends upon them with flames or what appears to be tongues of fire and they are empowered to do great and wondrous things.In Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16, we read the words of John the Baptist who tells of the one who will follow him, Jesus, who will baptize you with FIRE and with the Holy Spirit.
